The Rainbow Painter and the Sad Sunflower

Once upon a time, in a sunny little garden, lived a tall sunflower named Sunny. Sunny used to be the happiest flower, always smiling at the bright sky. But lately, Sunny had been drooping. Her best friend, the buzzy bee Barnaby, had flown away to a far-off meadow, and Sunny missed him terribly. She just didn't feel like smiling anymore.

One day, a cheerful housepainter named Pip arrived at the garden gate. Pip wasn't just any painter; he had a magical brush that could paint with all the colors of the rainbow and even make them sparkle! He was known all over the land for painting happy pictures that made everyone feel better.

Pip noticed Sunny looking sad. He'd heard of Sunny's missing friend and decided to help. He started painting, not on the garden walls, but all around Sunny. He painted bright blue skies with fluffy white clouds, playful green grass, and buzzing bumblebees that looked just like Barnaby. He even painted a little rainbow that arched right over Sunny's head.

As Pip painted, he sang silly songs and made funny faces. Sunny couldn't help but giggle. The bright colors and Pip's joyful laughter started to make her feel a little bit better. When Pip was finished, Sunny looked around at the beautiful scene and her heart felt lighter. She remembered all the fun times she'd had with Barnaby and knew he'd want her to be happy too.

From that day on, Sunny still missed Barnaby, but she didn’t feel sad anymore. Pip would often come back to the garden and add new colorful pictures, always making Sunny laugh. Sunny learned that even though sometimes friends go away, new friends can bring sunshine back into your life, just like a rainbow painter.
