The Little Lantern Maker of Rainbow City

Once upon a time, in the colorful village of Brightbrook, lived a young boy named Lin. Lin loved making paper lanterns, each one a tiny burst of light and color. One day, Lin’s Uncle Bao, a cheerful baker known throughout the land, visited Brightbrook. Uncle Bao lived in the grand Rainbow City, a place of swirling lights and towering buildings. He invited Lin to come live with him, to help him deliver his delicious rainbow-colored pastries.

Lin was thrilled! In Rainbow City, he met Mei, a kind woman who worked with Uncle Bao. Mei loved to sing, and her melodies filled the bakery with warmth. However, Mei wasn’t just any baker; she was also in charge of making all the festival decorations for the city’s mayor, a kind but busy man who loved bright things.

Lin quickly learned the secrets of baking rainbow pastries and became a star lantern maker. He discovered that the mayor’s biggest dream was for everyone in the city to be happy and share their talents. One day, there was a huge challenge; the annual Festival of Lights was coming up, and a big storm threatened to ruin all the preparations. All the colorful lanterns were destroyed and no one had any idea how to make new ones.

Lin, remembering his simple village, brought all the children together. He taught them how to fold and decorate lanterns, using scraps of colored paper and glitter. They laughed, they sang, and soon the whole city was lit up by hundreds of beautiful, unique lanterns. Mei sang her most beautiful song as the city celebrated and the mayor realized that the city was now full of light because of the children.

Lin realized that even small acts of kindness and creativity can brighten the biggest city. And just like the glowing lanterns, the city of Rainbow City was always full of color, laughter and joy, thanks to the little lantern maker and the baker’s assistant.
