The Great Gumball Grab
Barnaby the bear and Freddie the fox were the best of friends, but they had a tiny problem. They had promised their neighbor, Buster the badger, a jar of his favorite rainbow gumballs by sunset. If they didn't deliver, Buster, known for his grumpy moods, threatened he would not share his yummy berry muffins! The gumballs cost ten shiny acorns, which was a lot for Barnaby and Freddie.
First, they tried to sell their drawings at the park, but no one wanted pictures of very wobbly trees. Then, Freddie tried to play his harmonica for coins, but all the squirrels just threw acorns at him. They even tried to find some buried acorns, but the sneaky birds beat them to it! Time was running out, and the sun was getting lower and lower.
Just when they were about to give up, they saw Mrs. Rabbit’s bake sale. She was selling delicious cookies! Barnaby and Freddie offered to help her pack the treats, and she paid them with… you guessed it, shiny acorns! They earned all ten acorns and bought the jar of rainbow gumballs. They rushed to Buster's burrow just as the last bit of sunlight faded. Buster was very happy, not grumpy at all anymore, and he shared his muffins. Barnaby and Freddie learned that day that even big problems can be solved with a little teamwork and some yummy treats!
