Salty's Secret

Once upon a time, in a small town by the sparkling sea, lived a curious girl named Lily. Lily loved exploring the beach, searching for seashells and watching the waves. One sunny morning, she discovered a baby seal pup, all alone and shivering near the rocks. He had big, sad eyes and soft, grey fur. Lily named him Salty.

Salty was different from other seals. He wasn't afraid of people and seemed to enjoy being around Lily. They became the best of friends. Lily would share her snacks with him, and Salty would do silly tricks, balancing pebbles on his nose and chasing after her with playful barks. Her family, a kind fisherman father and a warm-hearted mother, welcomed Salty with open arms. He would often follow Lily home, and nap by the fireplace.

As Salty grew, he wasn't quite as small as he was before, and one day, the other seals came to get him to join their group, but Salty had a hard time leaving his new family. Lily understood, though, that he was also a seal and needed to join his own kind. Lily didn't see him for a few days, but one morning Lily woke to a loud bark outside her window. When she looked out, Salty and his seal friends where there. Salty had wanted to introduce them to the people that took care of him. They all played together, Lily and her friends with the seals. They would play in the water in the mornings and the afternoons. Lily and Salty knew they'd always be friends. Salty became the seal ambassador to her and the town, bringing everyone together.
