Lily's Creative Adventure
Lily the little ladybug loved to draw! She lived in a small garden in Michigan, but she dreamed of a big, sunny place where she could learn to be a great artist. One day, she got her wish! Lily packed her tiny suitcase with crayons and sketchbooks and flew to the biggest sunflower in the garden, where the Art School for Bugs was located.
She was so excited to meet her new roommates: Benny the beetle, who loved to sculpt with mud, and Rosie the rolly polly, who was a whiz at making colorful leaf collages. The school was amazing! There were giant mushrooms for classrooms and the most beautiful dew drops you could ever paint.
Her art teacher, Mr. Bumble, was a kind old bee with a heart as big as his stripes. He taught her all about colors and shapes, and encouraged her to let her creativity soar. Benny, her roommate, was also very friendly and always eager to share new sculpting techniques and hang out after class. He thought her drawings were so special. Lily was so happy she had made such good friends.
But as the days went by, Lily realized that everyone saw her art differently. Mr. Bumble seemed to be admiring her pictures every moment, while Benny would always try to help with her drawings, even when Lily didn't ask for help! This gave her a funny feeling inside.
One day, she created a drawing of a garden full of tiny ladybugs. She was so proud of how she showed all the ladybugs having fun. She put it on display in her room when both Mr. Bumble and Benny asked to see it again and again! It made Lily a bit uncomfortable. She realized it was important to share her art but also have her own space to make mistakes and improve. She was glad that she was able to learn in her own space without too much influence from others. She loved being creative, and this made her even more excited for more adventures to come at the school.
