Leo and the Gigantic Grapefruit
Leo was a small boy who lived with his grumpy Uncle and Aunt, who never smiled. They made him do all the chores and never let him play. One day, while cleaning the garden, Leo found a tiny, sparkling seed. He planted it, and overnight it grew into a huge, round grapefruit! It was so big, it was like a bright yellow house. Curiosity twinkled in Leo’s eyes, so he carefully opened a small hole and stepped inside.
To his surprise, the grapefruit was hollow and filled with friendly bugs! There was Beatrice the butterfly, who loved telling jokes; Carlos the caterpillar, who was always nibbling on something; and Frankie the firefly, who made the most beautiful light. They were all very kind and invited Leo to stay with them.
One sunny morning, the grapefruit started to roll! It bounced and rumbled through fields and forests, carrying Leo and his new friends. They laughed and sang as they went, having the best adventure. They decided their destination was the ‘City of Shiny Lights,’ where everyone was said to be happy and kind.
Along their journey, they encountered a grumpy badger who tried to block their path, but Beatrice told him a joke so funny that he had to let them pass. Then they had to cross a rushing river, so Frankie lit up the way and Carlos helped them build a bridge with leaves and twigs.
Finally, they arrived at the City of Shiny Lights! It was filled with colourful buildings, happy music, and people laughing everywhere. Leo and his bug friends had found a new home where they were loved and appreciated. From that day on, Leo’s life was filled with adventure, laughter, and the best of friendships, all thanks to a giant grapefruit and its delightful inhabitants.
